Kirby Nagelhout has been recognized as the Business of the Month for June by the Milton-Freewater Chamber of Commerce.
Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company was the successful low bidder for the new 73,000 square foot elementary school located in Bend, Oregon. The new elementary school is located near the intersection of O.B Riley Road and Cooley Road in the northwest area of Bend. There is also substantial off-site street improvements and associated utility improvements associated with the project. BLRB is the Architect and the project is due for completion by the beginning of the 2019 school year.
Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company (KNCC) was again proud to be the Title Sponsor for the annual fundraiser for the Deschutes Children’s Foundation which is a nonprofit located in Bend. The Foundation promotes a community of services for children and families providing a centralized location for children and families to receive basic support services. Saturday evening was the date for the annual event held at the River House in Bend. “Together our generosity supports these needed services providing critical infrastructure to local nonprofits by helping children and families access the resources they need to thrive” said KNCC company President Jeff Deswert.
Several Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company employees and sub-contractors enjoy fresh doughnuts and coffee at our Hazeldale School project, as we kick off “Safety Break for Oregon” which is a day coordinated by Oregon OSHA to raise awareness and promote the value of workplace safety and health. We also had safety and evacuation drills where employees were instructed to meet at the designated location at our area offices to receive additional safety briefing and instruction. We will celebrate all week companywide, with safety presentations, quizzes and barbeques in Bend, Portland and Pendleton as well as at many job sites throughout the state.
Friday evening April 27, Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company received the “Office Building of the Year Award” for the Crane Shed Commons Project in the “Office Category Division”, at the 38th. annual Banquet of Excellence in Concrete Awards Ceremony held in Salem at the Grand Hotel. The Excellence in Concrete Awards program began 38 years ago, and continues today, to recognize projects that use concrete in extensive or innovative ways.
The Crane Shed Commons is located in Bend, Oregon and is owned and developed by Crane Shed Commons, LLC. The architect for the project was TVA Architects Incorporated, with the structural engineering being completed by Froelich Engineers and LaRusso Concrete placed and finished the concrete. The ready-mix supplier was Hooker Creek Companies, LLC.
Company President Jeff Deswert and project Foreman E.J. Parker excepted the award on behalf of Kirby Nagelhout Constriction Company.
The Community Counseling Solutions Building Project located in Heppner, Oregon was the latest ribbon cutting celebration for the crew from Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company. The Counseling Center serves the communities of Morrow, Wheeler, Gilliam and Grant Counties. The Architect for the project was Pinnacle Architecture and the project was managed out of our Pendleton Division Office. The Executive Director of the facility, Kimberly Lindsay gave a great deal of thanks and appreciation to KNCC Superintendent Dan Brinton and his crew for a great job that was completed on time and under budget.
