An exciting day for Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company, Daimler Trucks North America and the City of Madras Oregon. The completion of the Daimler Trucks North America High Desert Proving Grounds project was celebrated today with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the newly constructed facility in Madras. The facility is on an 80-acre site adjacent to the Madras Airport. The project consists of a durability test track and a beautiful 32,000 square foot truck shop and office building. According to Daimler engineers, the test track replicates in 6,000 miles what would normally take 1.2 million miles of driving under normal conditions. Daimler President & CEO Roger Nielsen is pictured during the ceremony thanking all those who contributed to the construction project.
