Located in the heart of downtown Bend, the Deschutes County Courthouse serves as a vital component of the Bend community. This project served to improve and update the overall courtroom experience, functionality, and security, while bringing the facility up to code seismically. Three of the four courtrooms underwent a modernization, totaling 4,632 sf of work. The phased renovation included seismic upgrades, updated security measures, and finish upgrades to the interior consisting of new lighting, skylights, a roof replacement, and more. Due to the project occurring in an occupied courthouse, KNCC implemented strict security measures to ensure safety and prevent disruption.
