TESTIMONIALS

In Our Clients’ Own Words

“Following an RFP, we selected Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company (KNCC) to perform the build/seismic construction work. This was also an EXCELLENT choice! We had a dedicated superintendent on site every day, a full construction staff, clear process, timelines, weekly owner meetings, and a GREAT relationship with their staff! Excellent financial account with transparent reporting, change orders, and superior documentation. Hands down…should I ever need construction work done, it is this group!”

Patrick J. Wineman, MPA, EFO, CFODivision Chief of Operations, Forest Grove Fire & Rescue

“I have had the opportunity to work with KNCC on multiple CM/GC projects. KNCC’s approach to constructability reviews, value engineering, and subcontractor engagement has provided significant value to our projects. I have appreciated their commitment to ensuring our goals are achieved.”

Aaron Boyle, PMP Administrator for Facilities Development, Beaverton School District

“You guys are crushing it. Your quality, dedication, organization, and drive to the finish is really impressive. You have been the highest performing supplier on our project, and have been by far the best GC we’ve ever worked with.”

“The KNCC team has been extremely cooperative in all aspects of the project. They have kept us informed on issues both good or bad and has been supportive of ideas we have presented. “Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company’s connection to the Central Oregon Community College is broadly seen across the Bend and Redmond campuses. With half a million square feet of our facilities constructed by Kirby Nagelhout, you could say the College was built by KNCC. Additionally, they have been investing in student success at COCC for more nearly 25 years. To date, the company has funded more than 55 full scholarships and they continue to partner with the COCC Foundation to ensure deserving students have the financial resources needed to attain their educational goals.”

“KNCC has been a highly collaborative partner in our efforts to modernize and improve our facilities in Hood River County. They are committed to high quality work, excellent problem solvers, and focused on our success as a school system and community.”

Dan GoldmanFormer Superintendent, Hood River County School District

“The catalyst to successful project(s) rests primarily with the selected contractors(s). In this particular instance, the District hit the ball out of the park when they secured the services of Kirby Nagelhout Construction. I do not hesitate in saying that Kirby Nagelhout is a professional organization that deserves your strong consideration should you have an opportunity similar to that experienced by the Pendleton School District and community.”

Stuart RobertsFormer Chief of Police, Pendleton, Oregon

“From day one Kirby Nagelhout Construction and their staff in Pendleton have shown an open and honest approach to business and construction. They have consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty, hosting a ground breaking ceremony at Sherwood Heights, conducting a student tour at Washington Elementary School just as framing was beginning and coordinating with a Blue Mountain Community College class to utilize the new elementary school construction in their curriculum to learn estimating and construction productivity. They have built a collaborative and trusting partnership with the Pendleton School District and their skilled staff are committed to quality of work with fiscal concerns for their clients being a priority.”

Jon PetersonFormer Superintendent, Pendleton School District

“Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company has earned a reputation for reliability, integrity and quality. They have won dozens of awards for excellence including the Bend Chamber Business of the Year, Building a Better Central Oregon, The Governors Livability Award and the World of Concrete Excellence Award.”

Oregon Senator Tim KnoppExecutive Vice President, Central Oregon Builders Association

“I’ve taken part in building three buildings for manufacture and this is the first one, the Nagelhout Building in Redmond, that came in under budget and on time. I’ve never said that before about anybody. I would recommend Kirby Nagelhout Construction to anyone, they have a great management team and project managers. I just can’t say enough about them, it was a superb building experience.”

Bob NoslerPresident and CEO, Nosler Bullets

It’s with great pride and enthusiasm, I write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company. Furthermore, I would recommend KNCC and their team of hard working professionals for any public or private construction project.”

Angus EastwoodFacilities Development Supervisor, Bend-La Pine Schools

“I have no reservation in highly recommending this firm for any construction work, large or small. They successfully completed for me some of the most complex projects on time and within budget. They always listened to client concerns and needs and always had viable solutions to problems that invariably come up in each project. KNCC is a full-service company with incredibly high work ethic. They can and will accomplish in a positive manner any task they take on.”

Peggy GrayFormer City Manager, City of John Day, Oregon

“What you can expect from KNCC is a strong professional and ethical adherence to the building process, which includes utilizing quality sub-contractors, providing cost effective changes, timely communication and a project delivered on budget.”

Sabrina SlusserExecutive Director, Humane Society of Central Oregon

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your crew for the work on the jail expansion project. From the early stages of consulting during the design phase to coordinating post-construction efforts such as the door hatch issue, and EVERYTHING in between on a more than $11 million project, your team has provided top level service and made sure that every detail of the project was addressed, including the more than million dollars’ worth of improvements and replacement of the electronic security system. We appreciated your flexibility in taking on even the nearby parking lot development projects as part of this jail expansion.

For a complicated project such as this that involved ongoing operations of a detention facility during construction, we felt the process was as smooth as it could possibly be, thanks in large part to your team. Thank you again for being a part of this effort.”

Susan RossFormer Director, Deschutes County Property & Facilities Department

“The Bend Library project is, without a doubt, the most successful CM/GC project TH&A has been involved with, and I believe its success is due largely to your (Kirby Nagelhout) efforts. From the beginning of the project, you and your team all worked diligently to both understand the design intent and monitor project costs. We were particularly impressed with your personal involvement in the cost estimating process and the accuracy of the bids is a testament to your skills . . .. As you know, the design and construction process is complex. The CM/GC delivery approach can make it even more complicated, but your approach truly fostered a genuine partnership between the client, the architect and the builder.”

Jonah CohenFormer Principal, Hacker Architects

“We would like to take the opportunity to thank you with regards to the completion of the Fire Department Project. From beginning to completion, the entire project has been a pleasure for us. Your staff was always enjoyable and professional to work with, and were always responsive to our concerns and questions. Having worked with your staff on a weekly, if not daily basis for the last year and a half or so, we could not have asked for a better working relationship.”

Larry J. LangstonFire Chief & Project Coordinator, City of Bend

“Through out the fourteen-month project Kirby Nagelhout employees displayed outstanding cooperation and professionalism with all facets of the Public Safety Branch. In addition, Kirby Nagelhout ensured that the subcontractors were also aware and sensitive to the Tribe’s culture and heritage.”
