Located near the Columbia River Gorge called Goldendale, the Klickitat County Services staff was in desperate need of a modern and comprehensive facility to accommodate the entire administration. As a result, the new 3-story, 38,000 sf office allows for multiple county departments that were initially spread out in several locations to have a state-of-the-art facility with modern amenities where they can all operate under the same roof. The building’s primary structure consists of glulam beams and columns with CLT floor and roof decks as well as a supporting steel stud bearing and shear wall system. Sustainability features include a 40kW solar array, LED lighting, and CLT structure. This building will serve the town of Goldendale and the entire Klickitat County for many years to come.
