CROOK COUNTY JUSTICE CENTER

Project Description

With an original courthouse building over one hundred years old, Crook County was in need of a comprehensive, state-of-the-art Justice Center to replace the historic courthouse that would allow the County departments to operate with more efficiency, improved public safety services, and ample resources. After passing a bond in November 2020, the process commenced to build a modern, new Justice Center.

The new Crook County Justice Center is an expansive, 67,850 sf facility built in the heart of downtown Prineville. It features a large, welcoming lobby and staircase, a jury assembly space, several courtroom administration spaces, three courtrooms, as well as associated offices for the Circuit Court, District Attorney, Victim’s Advocate, Juvenile Services Department, and Sheriff’s Department.
