Sherman County Courthouse Wins 2019 DeMuro Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation

November 11, 2019 – We are excited to share the news that our Sherman County Courthouse project with Hennebery Eddy Architects​ won the 2019 DeMuro Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation from Restore Oregon​. Completed in July of 2018, the Sherman County Courthouse addition and renovation of the historic two-story courthouse built in 1899, included a new 15,000 sf building housing courtroom space and administrative offices. The rehabilitation preserved certain historic features, restored the original paint colors, and installed a new cupola to replicate the storm-damaged original.

Washington and Sherwood Elementary Schools

Kirby Nagelhout Construction Company – Construction progress is moving forward as scheduled, for both the Sherwood Heights Elementary Schooland Washington Elementary Schools located in Pendleton, Oregon. The two new schools will be substantially completed in May, 2016 with construction continuing through summer. When students take their summer break, demolition will start on the existing schools which will allow for the construction of additional parking lots and bus drop off areas for students . Additional work on athletic fields and playgrounds will also be completed at that time . Both schools will be ready for Pendleton School District 16R students in September, 2016.
