KENWOOD SCHOOL GYMNASIUM
Project Description
After a record breaking winter for snowpack in 2017, the roof of the gymnasium at the Highland Magnet at Kenwood School collapsed. Fortunately, no one was inside the gym when it happened. The new building is 11,500 square feet and includes the gym, music room and stage, bathrooms, office and storage space, and energy efficient lighting and HVAC units. The new roof was built to surpass the 25 psf building code and can now withstand a snow load of 35 psf.
