Project Description

Sunrise Water Authority (SWA) is a public-owned water utility organization serving more than 53,000 Happy Valley residents across 22 square miles. Prior to the construction of this new campus, SWA operated in a significantly smaller facility that lacked sufficient space to accommodate the entire staff. As a result, SWA sought to build a new Administrative and Field Operations Facility that would house the entire organization while also leaving room for expected future growth.

The highly sustainable new campus features a 15,000 sf administrative office and a 5,700 sf shop and operations building to store fleet and equipment. Construction also included associated parking lots, patio space, 2 driveways, a fueling site, and landscaping including 6 storm swales acting as storm water demonstration features for the community. Both buildings were constructed with cross-laminated timber (CLT), concrete, and steel hybrid systems.
